Because your hair doesn’t need to know you hit snooze three times.

Whether you're rolling out of bed for a 7am class, scrambling to get the kids to school, or just not in the mood to spend 45 minutes with a hot tool—you still deserve good hair. This one's for the overslept, the overwhelmed, and the effortlessly chill.
The 5-Minute Slick-Back (aka “The Panic Bun”)
Your go-to if you have: Greasy roots, zero time, and your claw clip is MIA

How to do it:
Flip your part to the middle
Smooth a little Amika Glass Action Hair Oil through the top and ends.
Pull hair into a low bun, mid pony, or half-up twist—whatever feels quickest.
Secure with a hair band or silk scrunchie.
Optional: Pull out a few face-framing pieces if they're wanting to fall out anyways
Why it works: The slicked-back look is clean girl effortless and very in right now, and a little shine from hair oil elevates the vibe from greasy to intentional shine
The Bang-Only Refresh
Your go-to if: Your bangs are chaos but the rest of your hair is passable.

How to do it:
Lightly mist your bangs with water or a water/mousse mix
Hit them with a round brush and blow dryer for about a minute, brushing from one side to the other and switching to eliminate cowlicks and build volume
try placing a flat clip on either side to encourage wave while blowdrying
Finish with a tiny bit of Amika Un.Done Volume & Matte Texture Spray or a light hold cream.
Why it works: Clean, styled bangs draw attention away from whatever’s happening in the back—and they photograph like a dream.
The Flipped Out ’90s Ear-Tuck
Your go-to if: You’ve got shoulder-length second-day hair that’s feeling a little blah.

How to do it:
Part your hair down the middle (bonus: it hides greasy roots and frames the face).
Smooth a little Amika Oil Treatment through mids and ends for sleek shine and frizz control.
Use a round brush or curling iron to flip the ends out slightly.
Tuck the front pieces behind your ears and let the ends do their thing.
Why it works: Think ‘90s supermodel blowout meets lazy morning energy. It’s polished but playful, adds a bit of sass, and takes almost no time.
The 30-Second "grab anything" updo
Your go-to if: You need to fake a styled updo on your way out the door on longer hair

How to do it:
Grab whatever’s within reach: claw clip, French pin, chopsticks, pencil, makeup brush… it all works.
Gather your hair like you’re making a low ponytail.
Twist the whole section upward from underneath, pulling the twist so it sits against the back of your head or crown.
Secure it with whatever magic wand (read: utensil) you grabbed. Stick it through the twist to hold everything in place.
Gently pull out a few face-framing pieces or wisps around the ears to make it feel soft and styled—not stressed.
Why it works: This isn’t a perfect ballerina bun, but that’s the point. It’s messy-chic, it’s resourceful, and it somehow always looks like you meant to do it.
You don’t need a full blowout to look like you’ve got it together. With the right shortcuts (and the right products), you can turn total chaos into “Wow, your hair looks amazing” energy in under five minutes.
